Decanting old wines

Older Red wines  – Should you decant them?

We have spoken previously about decanting wines older than 10 years.

Many restaurants never, or rarely, serve bottles with vintages greater than 10 years, but as a professional, you should know about the process and if at your establishment you are likely to serve such older bottles, it is a process you should be familiar with and practice several times before being called to decant wine in from of guests.

You may want to start by familiarizing yourself with some of the YouTube videos on decanting wines.
