Listen attentively

Be a good listener – Encourage others to talk about themselves – Do guests enjoy talking about themselves, feel more important, and tip more because of it?

Make the other person feel important,  and do it sincerely – Are you able to tell if someone’s comments are sincere or just “put on.” How does insincerity make you feel? Will a guest who senses insincerity be likely to tip less?
