7. Wine Explorer
We have previously talked about wine searchers as types of retail wine buyers, but this class also applies to experienced wine tasters who really appreciate the actual taste of many different styles of wine. They feel they are confident in classic wine styles of different grape varietals and blends as they search for the best-valued wines of a given style that suit their tastes.
Some enthusiasts like many different types of wines especially if they are well-balanced examples of that type of wine. They are always trying highly rated wines of different grape varietals, often trying to define and refine the styles of wine that they prefer. These preferences also tend to avoid high alcohol wines like red Zinfandels and Cabernets that are over 14% ABV. They usually prefer white wines that go well with food and reds that are on the dry side.
