Pouring aids
The most common wine pouring aid is a disc called the DropStop Wine Pour Spout. It is a commercial product that is very helpful in preventing wine spills or bottle drops from staining the tablecloth.
You probably won’t find it used at many restaurants but it is washable so you could have your own personal DropStop.

Without a dropstop, the most common way to prevent wine dripping down the bottle is rolling the bottle when you have poured the amount you want to. In the following video, study carefully how the bottle is rolled right at the end of the pour.
