Is pouring wine easier than cooking the meal?

Even if a guest knows that tips are not shared with the cooking staff but only the wait staff and busboys, in their mind, the tip is mostly for the food prep and the time it has saved them from having to cook it themselves.

Wine is different. Most guests look at wine serving and pouring as requiring much less effort and time than the food prep.
